HowWeSeeMe is built to be intimate and private. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. In short: your mirror is visible only to you and the person you invite, we don't sell your data, we don't show ads, and we don't use your descriptions to train AI models.
What we collect
Account information. When you sign in, we receive your email address and — if you use Google sign-in — your name and profile photo. Authentication is handled by Google Firebase.
What you write. The description of yourself you provide, and the description the person you invite writes about you. The invited person can take part without creating an account.
The analysis. The private report generated from those two descriptions.
Technical data. Basic information your browser sends automatically (such as device and connection details) and standard server logs needed to run and secure the service.
How we use it
We use your information solely to operate HowWeSeeMe: to authenticate you, to store your mirrors, to generate your analysis, and to keep the service secure and working.
To produce your analysis, the two descriptions are sent to our AI provider (Anthropic) for processing. We do not use your descriptions or analyses to train AI models, and our providers process this content only to return your result.
Who can see your mirror
A mirror is private to you (the creator) and the person you invite. The person you invite sees only the prompt to describe you — never your self-description — until after they submit. The final analysis is unlocked by you.
We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we do not show advertising.
Service providers
We rely on a small number of trusted providers to run the service: Google Firebase (authentication and database), Anthropic (AI analysis), and Vercel (hosting). Each processes data only to provide their service to us.
Keeping and deleting your data
We keep your mirrors so you can return to them. You can delete a mirror at any time from your dashboard; deleting a mirror removes its descriptions and analysis from our active database.

Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections and access-controlled storage. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your data and limit access to it.
Children
HowWeSeeMe is intended for adults. It is not directed to anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. Significant changes will be communicated where appropriate.
